DescriptionThe Sanipit 24GR CB is a pre-assembled packaged 24” x 24” grinding 1-HP pump system. This system is used to pump away wastewater from several bathrooms and fixtures from an entire building structure. This system is able to discharge the waste up to 25 feet vertical and/or 328 feet horizontal. It incorporates a grinder system which is ideal for uncontrolled environments in both residential and commercial applications (ie. rental unit, offices, warehouses, etc). The Sanipit 24GR CB is designed to handle sanitary products that may have been flushed down the toilet; such may consist of condoms, sanitary napkins, q-tips, dental floss, etc.
This system consists of a 1-HP motor which has a high-performance grinding system and a fast-rotating cutting blade to reduce solids in the wastewater stream from toilets, tubs and showers, sinks, washing machines, dishwashers, etc.
The Sanipit 24GR CB operation is as simple as the installation. The effluent enters the pump through its main 4” side inlet. As soon as the wastewater level reaches the trigger point, the pumping system activates. The effluent is then pumped out through a 2” diameter rigid pipe connected on the top of the basin. Maximum pumping distances are 25 Ft vertically and/or 328 Ft horizontally.
The inside of the Sanipit 24GR CB comprises of a couple of pressure switches and a circuit board assembly, which starts and stops the unit, a powerful motor, which drive the stainless-steel cutting blade and the pump. Fail-proof air pressure switch system with triple redundancy: Float issues are a common source of frustration when dealing with sewage pumps. The Sanipit 24GR CB addresses this problem with its advanced triple-pressure switches, ensuring accurate and reliable control of the pump’s operation. The motor is sealed for life in an oil filled enclosure. A common spindle/shaft drives the impeller and the grinder blade. The moving parts therefore are kept to an absolute minimum. Water and organic waste matter that enter the enclosure are reduced to slurry and are picked up by the impeller mounted beneath the motor.
The pump is able to handle up to 66 GPM. If the incoming rate is higher than the discharge rate, the pump automatically signals the “alarm” stage. This will activate the visual alarm on the pump’s external control panel and the audible alarm from the wired control box (if connected).
Note that the effluent pipe leading into the pump’s basin has to be installed with the required ¼” per foot gravity flow. The internal discharge pipe comes equipped with a check valve that prevents back flow into the unit. Isolating valves (ball, gate valves) must be installed on waste inlets and on the discharge pipe to ensure that any service/maintenance may be carried out safely.
This unit has been designed with a 2” vent connection on the top of its lid. All plumbing codes require connection to a vent system. Please note that the vent system should be a two-way air vent. The use of mechanical vents, air admittance valves or similar devices are not permitted as these are considered one-way air vent systems.
The Sanipit 24GR CB is IP68 rated for possible submergence which eliminates any potential water damage to internal components. It comes equipped with an external control panel as well as a visual and audible alarm system (15' long wire).
The Sanipit 24GR CB has been certified to American and Canadian Standards. Macerating standard; US: CSA Certified - ASME A112.3.4, CA: Macerating Standard CSA B45.9.
